Every year in early September, the Pufendorf Institute for Advanced Studies sends out calls for applications to start a Theme here the following academic year. Early September is also the time where all the newsletters, social media channels and other ways of communications are filled with information, news, invitations and “save the dates”. We fear our calls get lost in all the other “stuff”. But a launch-meeting in our beautiful house with fin-fika could be a complementary effort to get our call out there?
On 8 September, we invite researchers to learn more about
- what a Theme is - or could be;
- what's in it for you;
- how to find colleagues from other disciplines at Lund University (with guidance from Hanna Voog, LUCRIS "wizard");
- what the International Fellows Programme is and could benefit your Theme and
- how and when to apply for starting a Theme in September 2026.
The event will be held in English and "fika" will be served.
Time, place and registration:
8 September, 15.00 (sharp)-16.30
Pufendorf Institute for Advaced Studies, Biskopsgatan 3 Lund
Please register as soon as possible, but no later than 4 September: Launch: Pufendorf IAS' Call for Themes
About Pufendorf IAS
The Pufendorf Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) is tasked with stimulating interdisciplinary research at Lund University. The Institute gives researchers from different disciplines and faculties at Lund University the opportunity to work together for one year on a research problem area. The Institute is an incubator for new research ideas and welcomes Theme applications concerning research questions that are at an early stage. These ideas are generally not yet mature enough for other forms of research funding.
