Detecting Deliberate Threats from Chemical and Biological Agents in Ukraine
During this seminar, led by biosecurity protection officer from the WHO, Philip Bacchus, we discuss how society can prepare for detection and defense against chemical and biological agents, including direct attacks with weaponized substances and indirect attacks by physical damage to large-scale infrastructure. We will draw on Philip’s experiences of working close to the frontlines in Ukraine to discuss emerging mass casualty threats in future conflicts.
Philip Bacchus is a naval officer and Lund University doctoral student, currently working at the WHO Bio Security and Health Security Protection Unit. This evening he discusses emerging threats to human health and society with members of the Pufendorf IAS' Theme Greyzone Genomics
The lecture is free of charge, but seats are limited. We kindly ask you to register for this lecture (with panel discussion) no later than 16 December. Link to registration
