Pufendorf & Friends: "Reaching Beyond Academia"

Welcome to an open discussion and after work about how researchers better can communicate and reach out beyond academia.
Communicating science and reaching out beyond academia is key to make an impact on society, and contributing to a society with knowledge-based policies and decision-making.
Science communication is a broad concept which can include many different activities, formats, and target groups. In this discussion we will hear from three researchers, with great interest and experience of communicating their research in various ways. We will discuss the many why and how of science communication and the role of trust when communicating science. We hope to inspire and share good examples of science communication as well as discuss challenges and opportunities within the field.
Participants:
Louise Bringselius is a Senior Lecturer in Organizational Studies at the Department of Business Administration and head of the Institute for Public Affairs (INSPA). Her research focuses primarily on the public sector, and the role of trust, both within and between organisations, whistle-blowing and the role of the public servants.
Kimberly Nicholas is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability Studies at Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies (LUCSUS). Her research focuses on how to manage natural resources to both support a good life today, and leave a living planet for future generation.
Nils Gustafsson is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic communication at the Department of Strategic communication. His research focuses on political communication and social media, political participation, and elite studies.
