Human Memory in the Digital Age
Recent technological developments have transformed human relationships, private activities and the workplace. For the past year, the Pufendorf IAS Advanced Study Group “Human Memory in the Digital Age” has focused on the question:
How is human memory affected by the increased digitalized universe, in which people unfold their professional and personal lives?
The ASG has invited distinguished scholars to discuss their latest research on this topic, side by side with Lund University’s own researchers. Participants come from several disciplines and apply a multitude of methodological approaches in their work. The presentations cover topics such as: social media, trust and collective memory; remembering the dead in the digital age; digital war memorials; and how Wikipedia affects our attention span and our memory of traumatic events.
